It’s the little things.

Safari 5 came out last week, and aside from extensions and under the hood improvements, it’s not that much different than Safari 4. However, there’s one thing they put back into it that I’m really glad about – the determinate progress bar. For the longest time Safari used the address bar area as a progress bar for when a page was loading. I was very sad to see it missing in Safari 4 because I liked seeing how much there was “left” to loading a page. Now that it’s back, it just reminded me very much as to how much I missed it.

So, determinate progress bar, it’s good to have you back. It’s a small thing, but it makes browsing the web that much more pleasant.
